Although there are 100+ new transits sitting at Bescott.

None are to be issued to patrols in the foreseable future!

Reason..........Their new dispatch radio system does not work.....

My neighbour, who is an RAC Patrol, has just been given a years tax

for his '52' plate van and, been told to get it MOT'd again :? :?

Ex RAC vans will be scarce for a few months now........

RAC policy was 5 years or 100,000 miles but, now the vans

are leased from LEX, that no longer applys.

They seem to replace the vans still at 5 years though.

My neighbours van is mint with 81,000 miles....

His mates van was replaced at 4 years of age with only 60,000 miles

I'll find out if one can be bought direct, I know is has been done before...

Just depends now, as the RAC is owned by Norwich Union......
