I no its not strickly technical but I am having a problem getting a decent quote Any Ideas,suggestions etc where to go?

The Van is not bin used for commercial use more like a car/converted camper no more than 5000miles a year TPF&T its worth no more than £800 I've had a quote from Adrian Flux of £270 is this good or should I try another company

Direct Line quoted me & the misses TPF&T for private use only, 1600 MK2 panal van £220.
If you told Adrian Flux you are converting to a camper, I'd say that was not bad.

Got ins sorted on monday with Adrian flux £265 TPFT inc UK Break down .I managed to haggle them down as I have my kit car insurance with them.

I had to laugh at Tesco tho' they said they had a really good quote for me at £978 TPFT!!!

Anyway sorted now & receievd docs in the post this morning... thanks for all your help

My 1985 1.6 Transit 100 Pannel van is insured for commercial use (im a general builder/electrician) fully comprehensive with 25,000 miles a year for just £230

The Policy is held with Equity Red Star IIRC

I started the policy 18 months ago with no NCB, and it was only £280 then !

I'm sure I'm paying too much. I only need third TPFT and I only use the van for private use. I don't do many miles either. I recon the van isprobably worth around £2500, at least that's waht I have it insured for. I'm 29 and have four years no claims. What does anyone else think I should be paying?

im 18 no ncb van is insured thru aqoute and it is tpft and i got it ins for £2250 and last year i paid £380 ish year before was £450 so this year it might come down a bit more

Your van beats the 1.2 Nova I was driving at 18. I've seen the light now though!

26, 5 years ncb, girlfriend named driver (shes 24) s reg 100 lwb, TPFT about 320 ish, when you ask for a quote, tell em you use the van for doing your house up, fishing camping etc direct choice have given me a comical vehicle policy so i am now loads happier about carting bikes etc about than when i had a tesco policy which was just SDC & P. good luck
