its up to ford to sort it out for you ! if not demand a new van from them! get onto costomer services and say how bad it is that you have a new van and it has these problems!
i was down ford dealer the other day and they were fitting a new head to a 137ps lwb! :?

Hard to say without knowing whats been done by the dealer, you can't say Ford don't know whats up with it though, as they aren't repairing it

There is a wee concern with the cam chain tensioner on SOME engines, not all where the inlet cam timing slips a few teeth and kills the head. Good tensioners are in circulation now.

If they've got the head off, i'd suspect that they have gone along that route. But without further details thats just an assumption.

mate dont worry it is fords problem as if they cant fix it they will have to replace it and ford are one of the better manufactures with these sort of issues we once had a escort td and the belt snapped 2 weeks outside of the warranty when we took it to the dealers he was told to repair it f.o.c as the mileage was quite low :D good luck :)

Have they set up a case with ford technical?

Sounds like they're replacing parts without need to me, especially the injectors. A diagnostic procedure must be followed before they are deemed U/S.

Have they checked the dual mass flywheel? a vibration or similar concern here can interfere with the signal from the crank position sensor.

Were there any DTC's stored in the pcm?
Also have they checked the turbocharger?
The 137Ps uses a variable unit and i've seen a couple of them stick in the wrong position and cause issues.

yes they have got ford technical involved they sent a field engineer to deal with it after the injector change did not work.the computer they plug in did not pick up any faults i was told by a mechanic friend he thought it might be the temperature sensors in the head that were faulty but ford say they have checked them.i dont know if they have checked the fly wheel or turbo. they originaly changed the injectors because they thought the diesel in the tank was contaminated with swarf

mate if the vehicle is under warranty its down to them to fix it for you, :) so no matter how long it takes they must get it ok or give you another van! or new engine! :) i had problems with a brandnew van a few years ago , so many falts in the end they took it back! :)

If the CHT sensor goes wrong, it'll cut the engine as a protection feature. So i don't think head temperature is an issue.

If you have a field engineer assigned to the case, a fix won't be far away

I assume they'll have datalogged the fuel rail temps and pressure while the lumpy tick over is apparent.

Load of tosh m8, as long as the jobs done right.

If the technician is capable of doing the job, there shouldn't be an issue.

I hope they've got you a hire vehicle to replace yours while it's VOR

I'll go with nighthawk on this one too, in the past when I've done head jobs they always seem to go better, its what work goes into the head and how its done that makes all the difference, but not so much on a new engine as it will still be tight, a diesel engine takes roughly around 100 000 miles to be fully run in and to benefit from proper fuel consumption figures
