Hi people,

Just a quick Q:

Can anyone recommend a company, website or whatever that specialises in those "magnectic type " detachable signs for vans, i'm only after 4 & i know there available coz our work vehicles have em,

i've asked the people that supply my work vehicles & their useless to be honest so i'd rather not waste my time & effort

any advice/help is appreciated as i don't wish to have my van pro-sign written,

i had them, and my van is known for not doing much more than 46mph and they fell off !!

Have seen a (very) few on vans here and havent heard of them coming off myself (just watch the chavs dont nick em for a laugh)

they came off on the motorway not happy as they cost alot of cash £27 for a pair !

a firm i worked for used to have em - we found they work best if you warm them up 1st by putting them in the footwell

and even then they did fall off occasionally

Yeah the falling off bit does kinda concern me due to the cost of these things ( i've been checking the sites that kev put up)

they will fall off if you get water under them, they have to be dry, but there are different grades of magnetic vinyl the thin cheap stuff is crap, how many do you need i can make you some

We had magnetic ones on my MK3. thay stayed on at over a ton

I've had mine two years, I went to a local company that does them for the taxis, Mine have stayed on the sides of a car then the van at speed and the owners of the shop assured me they had driven round their native Scotland similarly without loss. They are also taken off daily and left attached to a metal cupboard door so they're flat. I think you should corner a local cabbie and find out where he got his!
