Mmm, was thinking........whats the story with these Connect vans. What size engines do they come with and if they do a diesel, which one is it and are they rear wheel drive ?

They look cute, might think about buying one in the future, when prices come down a bit.
when this world ends.....a diesel engine will still be running

I borrowed one for a week and it was quite nippy 1.8 diesel, downside was the rear bench seat and spare wheel which took up room although if it had been my van I would have taken the seat out. I'd have one as a second van if I was allowed!

Got some of these at work, both short wheelbase and long, the long wheelbase models have got a full steel bulkhead but the smaller ones have a tubular steel bulkhead and a fold flat passenger seat and then the bulkhead folds in over the collapsed passenger seat enclosing the driver, ingenious but weird arrangement.

Daveyboy, is there any chance of showing us a photo of that folding down seat you're talking about. I was thinking about some having some folding down seats for the back of Mk1 LWB campervan.

Yeah I'll try and get you a photo but it will be next week before I get back to the yard where the vans are, don't know if its the standard front passenger seat for a connect or wether they are optional. Not very often I drive a connect but they always seem tough well - engineered vans.

nice van m8, what do you think about the economy of it as the plumbers at the building firm where i work use them but say they are a bit juicy, mind you they have trackers on there connects now and did not on there escort vans
