Let's face it, most of europe can speak English but only a relatively small number speak German/French/Dutch etc

get yourself to belgium, they speak flemish but nearly all of the publications/shops/adverts are in english!!

The shop is near Koln in Germany, but his website is bilingual, at least he has the decency to have a transit now, when he started in 1992 he had a Merc!

only because of worldwide brand identity. Wolseley formed the "xxxx Center" identity in the mid 80's and authough a british company, much of their business has historically been stateside.

american english is gaining ground simply because of Microsoft.........

I know what you all mean regarding the language but its always evolving otherwise you would be speaking old germanic never mind olde English, and yes the computer and texting will make one of the most sudden changes ever.
