Been looking to replace my transits radio...
(bidding on a Ford Traffic 6006e)

when i first got my van it had a Blaupunkt Radio/Cassette (very dirty) with a fill in panel...

in 2005 i replaced the radio with another Radio/Cassette a Ford Traffic 2000


im just wondering what you have... and is it any good...?

Pioneer radio cassette, good enough to get Virgin round town and to hear talking books out on the road. I don't really do massive ICE installs.

in the 6 seat Mk3 i have just fitted a pioneer head unit, goodmans pod type 120w speakers in the bulkhead, kenwood 100w speakers in the headlining and a cheap 100w amp, sounds ace, and its loud

I won an RDS6000 CD on ebay from a focus - fitted straight in and sounds great through the speakers!

Sounds crappy but it will do until I can be bothered to fit another one.

Ive just fitted an alpine cda 7876rb in a mk6. it cost me £350 quid when it was new. just ordered some new alpine speakers 6x8 300 watts each .it will sound great and keep all the neighbours awake

Sounds crappy but it will do until I can be bothered to fit another one.

I had one of these in my 1996 Transit (still got it (in the shed))

You're right about the sound
It has a control where if you turn it one way, you get the treble and no bass, or you turn the other way and get the bass, but no treble

Soon sorted that one out
There was a quiet afternoon in the shop one day, which resulted in a small "push in" switch being fitted that works as a "loudness" button that overides the control and gives full bass and treble at the same time

Pioneer head unit with 2 aux in and 2 pre outs, 1 aux in is sound from the DVD

Running a nikkai amp to mutant twin 10" subs, Vibe 6x9's and bluelabel 5x7's in the doors

An original Ford Cd player can't remember the model but does exactly what i need, just need to link it up to my spare Amp

I bought it from a fellow user on this forum not long after i bought the MK6

My old spec truck has plenty of sounds to keep me going when working! Beam head unit with built in bluetooth, mp3, sd card slot and usb plug in. Kicker 10" 800 watt sub powered by an Extreme 500 Watt rms monoblock amp. Kenwood 350 watt 6x9's powered by a mutant 1000 watt competition amp, 5" 3way mutant speakers in doors and dash powered from the 4x 50 watt head unit.2.0 MFD power cap to keep the bass going Sounds good to me!
