I can't remember the last time I saw that many Mk1 scrappers in one place!

About 1978 Fred

Its a shame to see it though, I bet half of them at least could be rescued if all the parts were available :(

By the way, people, on the Mk1 scrapper note I have heard on the grapevine of three Mk1s about to be cleared from a yard (that's a company yard, not a scrappie), the guy who told me won't give me an adress (!) but I will know more on monday, watch this space

it does happen in the uk......if you are near me in east anglia..on the diss to palgrave road as you leave diss go over a bridge and the cattle place on the right you will see a blue mk2 chassis cab next door then if you look left in the gate way you will see a mk1 and a mk3 transit near the river all 3 transits are very rusty and only fit for parts.....also if you happen to go to bressingham museum down the back of the nursery garden there is a old mk1 tranny along with other old vans (bedfords mainly)they are used for storage of pots and junk...there is also several mk1 and mk2 transits near the half moon pub in dickleburgh at steves scrapyard as well as in peters yard
