i think the bottom bit of the cross member and back i will try and make it out od two strips as yours dont look bad to say its self build

what size metal did you use?

iam thinking 1mm but using 2mm for the remakeing the new chassis sections

Hey Inti... i think i used 1.2mm for the rear cross member section... and if i remember Ford made it curve out to follow the profile of the rear doors etc, and i just made a big straight section that almost went the whole width of the van. i had a bit of work to put some holes back in as the bumper brackets will want to pass through it...

you may of noticed that Ford made that back section that you've removed quite thick poss 1.6mm - 1.8mm in parts. This is because its a structual/crash area.

Its up to you what you put back in. 2mm will prob be too much tho, as you say.

got to day for 27.00
some new tools for when i do the front brake pads to undo the brake caliper bolts ie ones a

8m alan key
and ones a t40 i think and with me having snap of crap in the past so i got these as i think guy88 said you want draper





the set was 22.00 and the one alan key was 4.50 od

but should do the job
