Wouldn't it be a wise move to import some Mk1's from Malta as for
a) there seems to be lots of them
&
b) they all seem to be in good order

Any ideas anyone?

I thought of this too but think will cost to much to be worth it :(

Surely if a few people gto together it might be worth it/

What does everyone think?
Oh how I long for the day when the rust is all gone!!!!! :-)

The thing is they r dissepering one by one. My friend called me today and said that he started to dismantle his Mk1 and offered me to buy some parts. Probably i m going to by his 2 front wings as although mine are good i ll keep them spare and a pair of rear bumpers as i don t have. I was sorry for his van as it was quiet good but the mot man are getting tighter!

AS i said got the front wings + 2 good front mirrors, 2 back bumpers and told 2 friends of mine to go and see if there is something good. It had a good steering box a front axel complete with disk brakes as it was a late version and a good dif but for me i could not take it home and leave it out sides as i have no time + i cannot leave an un regitered vachile out side . This is what 's left of it.

I have known this van since i was a child as it used and was until now a delivery soft drink van/truck. It always got my attension apart as it was a transit and always had a heavy load, as it made a living carring a local brand probably made by its owner not known to anybody. I think the owner has retired and as for the transit its for sale, i can' see any future for it as you can see from the windscreen surrounds its rusty :( . And the owner has still got in mind potential to sell it

Hi, I thought I'd had missed this Mk1, this mobile Kiosk

Image

This Mk1 pickup, from its paint work seems to be just fresh, the wood is varnished, usually you find them painted in a different colour, had to take 3 shots!

This van is now in my field and have to take some pics before I get the acitelene cutter and make it in pieces , have to get the photos of it from its previous owner when we lifted it with or crane and post them here.
