REMAP - VS - CHIP - K&N

Hi, just ordered a K&N FOR MY 54PLATE TDdi LWB. from past topics i see a 50/50 split on yes it will give a bit more and no it wont. its my work van and i cant see the point in a remap or chip but how much does it actually cost to chip or remap?
