DOE'S ANYONE KNOW HOW I CAN HAVE AN ELECTRIC WINDOW FITTED IN THE DRIVERS DOOR OF MY MK3 I HAVE TRIED SEVERAL PLACES TO SEE IF I CAN GET A KIT FOR IT BUT NOBODY SEEMS TO DO THEM. I DON'T WANT ONE OF THOSE THINGS THAT JUST REPLACE THE WINDER. AS ONLY HAVING MY LEFT ARM I HAVE TO KEEP STOPPING EVERY TIME I WANT TO OPEN OR CLOSE THE WINDOW. WOULD A DOOR FROM A MK5 FIT A MK3 AS I WAS TOLD THEY HAVE ELECTRIC WINDOWS. THANKS.
ye mate mk5 door will fit but finding one with leccy windows is like rocking horse s**t the van thats most likely to have them are the customs or 98 on as it seemed a popular choice around then good luck

ill 2nd that as the people who built my dads motorhome used a top quality kit to convert to leccy windows works really nice no problems at all (mk6 tho) but i think the kits will be very similar
the kits are ok for transits as long as the original winder isnt stiff before you fit it, (it also helps to squirt a bit of silicon spray or WD40 into the channels around the window to reduce the friction, as long as your not planning to have the doors painted any time soon )
I bought a couple of kits a few years ago from Maplin Electronics,
they have a website, or you can get their catalogue in W.H.Smiths
its £3 or £4.00 though.
Good chance you'll get them in Halfords too !
I got a little black book with me poems in Pallet Puller
