it's actually very unspectaular when it rolls over no real flex at all - and to get it back i just lowered the trucks forks a bit and lifted it up back onto it just using human strength  easy job

i'm very pleased - ive got a rear crossmember to do on a mates mk5 and this will come in handy 8)

got some photos to post but i cant get onto photobucket :x

cheers Al :D what do you think of the gap between the van and the jig :?: does it look about right :?:

Looks about right. Mine was a slightly smaller gap and it ended up about an inch from the body once the springs had flexed!

yes and yes :D

here's another pic of how the hub adapter fits - you bolt it on first, then offer the jig up and bolt that on with the 4 M16 nuts :D

Image

nice idea about the hub adapter is it a steel wheel rim choped up

hehehehehehe, yeah one for "you've been framed" ... at least they'd pay for some new glass!!

the gap looks ok, but what happens with something in slightly less good condition, might you get more flex and less gap as a result ?

i laughed when you said about the stuff in the back, i was actually more interested in the fluids, like fuel, i guess you have to tip it the right way not to lose it out of the vent, and what about the motor ? didnt have any adverse affects ?

bottom line i guess is i'm not sure if i'd have the bottle to try that with mine

I'm gonna try it mate, got nothing to lose, it's the only way Luke will repair my rear cross member. I'll just get him to sign an agreement that he pays for any damage he causes and also repairs the cross member for free. I'm sure he'll sign otherwise I won't paint anymore of his vans, so there lol
