Kind of a follow on to what High Cube was saying, you build momentum and then the fool in the car in front either slows or just doesn't speed up...always wearing hats btw...flat hats or trilbys I mean not silly boy racers with a ball cap on.
I had a run in with a BMW last night, I overtook it on the outside bend doing a respectable 60, the BMW driver didn't like it one bit (I was simply driving not racing) next thing I know I have a race going on...well all I did was keep my foot down AND kept it under 70 (A road but dual carriage way), the BMW lost their bottle and backed off as the road twists and turns a little but being as I know the road rather well I know were to lift and not;) What was even scarier was that the BMW driver was a woman!!
Today I was driving on a perfectly straight road again doing 60 and a silver (always seem to be silver) BMW comes flying down the slip road, no indicators, no looking and pulls right into my lane, fortunately I had a clear outside lane so I had to pull over out of HER way, a little further up the road I pulled in for diesel and who should follow me in...she kept out of my way at the pumps but then finally decided to get fuel right next to me...politely but very loud and annoyed sounding I told her to "pay attention more on slip roads". No reply or filthy looks just a sheepish look and silence.
So maybe it is just me and BMW's sure seems that way this weekend.
What always makes me smile inside is the way people get in front of you at the earliest chance and then get all paranoid when you are behind them at lights or similar, or if you draw up behind some one the brakes come on for no reason, generally on roads with a 60 mph limit and they are doing 35
