Lowering my posty van

Is it possible to lower a mk2? I have had a look and it seems that she is about as low as she can go........ has anyone succesfully done this task?

I wouldnt mind if it was just the front end, but I would prefer to drop it all the way around.....

Any chances of just putting in pump up shockers to do the trick?

lowering is not my thing, I only do up not down, I can't help thinking lowering an older commercial just makes it look overloaded, and unless it's mint, with a full custom paint job and wheels it's asking for a tug (by the police). All the same, I am sure this has been done or at least been discussed on here before. Have you treid doing a search?

Yeah but couldnt find one the same as mine.

One thought I was having is just whacking lower profile tyres on there, that should do the trick hey? then I might actually be able to drive it into my shed!

I have 4 ltrs of gloss black which will eventually find its way onto the beast, but she has a few dents that need taking care of first, so yeah its gonna be a little pimped when im done with it

Bit hard on a Mk 1/2.
Rears are easy, just do a Falcon diff conversion and put the diff above the spring instead of under it.
Fronts are harder.....maybe get a spring shop to reset them, or even turning the springs upside down might work...

Thats not a bad idea..... I wanna lower it but not " defect me please mr policeman" kind of lowering....

Its just she seems pretty high and its tight by about .5 cm to get into car parks in the city and stuff.

Also its about 1.5cm too high to fit in my shed

See Northern Springs at Industrial Park Gawler and tell em how much closer to the ground you want,there good and dont forget falcon diff means falcon wheels on one end allthough xc-xf rotors go on front by changing the inner bearing I think (been a long time)

Falcon rotors go on using a standard Transit bearing, but you need a spacer collar to pack it out from the stub axle a little, from memory somewhere around 20-25mm. In the kit I got the collar was shrink fit.
Pity the Tranny is at a friend's place or I would go out and measure it.....but when I buy a place with a decent shed the Transit will come home and get fixed again....

I fitted HQ Holden calipers and Falcon rotors useing a bracket kit from Castlemaine Rod Shop but if I did it again I wouldn't buy the kit, do it myself easy.
