I had reversing sensors on my Kangoo and while they were OK, sometimes they gave false information and this meant I could not trust them. Certain cars seemed to confuse them! Has anybody got them on their Connect van? Do they work OK? I was thinking of fitting them to mine anyway, do Ford sell a kit? Alternatively there are kits on ebay for about £40.
I posted this in another thread, a short while ago which might help..and these do work:
'...I got them from the Ford dealer and they are approved after market one's, called X Vision (£85 total). If you get these, make sure you get the XVB4AR model (4 sensor angled micro rubber for metal bumpers). The reversing light live feed is green/black trace btw.'
Makro's have cheap cameras on offer. they come with a monitor as well. which is pretty useful lol there were cameras on ebay that were £15 from hong kong. they work great as well.
Ive got a reversing camera on my car and the wife can even get into tight spaces without touching anything Will be fitting one to my van with the ice install
Sorry to hear that. I had the same problem with my Kangoo van...the reversing sensors tended to miss concrete posts and gateposts! So there you are and it's telling you all is clear...CLUNK....another new rear bumper. Fortunately on the Kangoo the whole bumper costs only £120 and can be replaced in under 10 minutes. I think I will go for the reversing camera option.
i suppose it depends what condition the engine is in? fully serviced up and cared for anything wrong fixed straight away etc etc! hard to say really as for reversing sensors ive just fitted one sort of ive now got to space the ball back a bit
