Postby sc_BK » Tue Dec 23, 2008 1:59 am

Bought on Sunday morning for £1700 inc vat
By no means a mint van but it's all fixable
2002 350 LWB
RWD
2.4l 90ps
5.13 "towing" axle
220,000km

Started off giving the cab a wipe down with a vinegar soaked cloth to try and get rid of the bloddy greasy "back to black" type stuff that was everywhere

Then started taking off the rooflining and ply:

The drivers side must've got damaged at some point as the black bits are replacment panels, marked 2004.

Seats out tables out rooflining out and most of floor/ply out:

Hi sc-bk,

Just wondered if this is a replacement for your old van or have you got big plans for it as a project to do up while you run the old one.

Good luck with it and looking forward to seeing what you do with it. :)

This is eventually a replacment, Gabby will still be with me for a good few weeks yet :)

Yesterday/today just been cleaning cleaning cleaning
The van is pretty bare inside, only the drivers seat. Parked it on the steepest part of the drive, opened the back doors, then went in with the pressure washer

Been busy the last few days getting as much done as I can between xmas dinner

The holes from the various seats/equipment have been filled and painted, and started paiting the steps, wheelarches and the inside of the panels that had been replaced

Today got the floor back in:

(the white stuff on the floor is frost)

And got the ramp fitted:

It's a bit tatty, when the weather goes back above zero I'll get it cleaned, painted, and greased

 Best get that floor boarding up, or there'll be no floor left for the MOT man to check

A good drying and some dinitrol/waxoyl treatment could help before putting the new/boarding back down

Much better size van for your needs :!: Well done :D
