THANKS FOR SUPPORT 100ps,AS YOU KNOW I HAVE HAD AN ELECTRIC WINDOW FITTED TO THE DRIVERS SIDE, WHICH WORKS VERY WELL, AND I AM VERY PLEASED WITH IT. ALSO TO JOHN LEMAN, REGARDING SEEING A DOCTOR, I FIND YOUR COMMENT OFFENSIVE. I ONLY HAVE ONE ARM, SO HAVE HAD TO HAVE ADAPTIONS DONE, THIS DOES NOT IN ANYWAY SAY I AM INCAPABLE OF DRIVING, I STILL HOLD A HGV CLASS 1 , PROVIDING I DRIVE AN AUTOMATIC, AND THE CONTROLS ARE ADAPTED. OUR VEHICLE IS COMPLETELY ADAPTED FOR MYSELF AND MY WIFE, WHO HAS MS. WITHOUT ME BEING ABLE TO DRIVE WE WOULD BE STUCK, AS MY WIFE CANNOT GET OUT OF HER WHEELCHAIR AND IN TO A NORMAL CAR. SO WE WOULD BE STUCK INDOORS. THANK YOU

Glad to hear you got you're window working Woody.
I'm sure John didn't mean to cause offence, his comment was perhaps unadvisable but I don't think he was aware or your situation. Still that'll teach him to know the facts before comenting!
I used to think that electric windows were a ridiculous luxury for people too lazy to do it themselves, especially after having driven a few cars with them that didn't work! But having used them I think they're worth having just for when you have to get a ticket from a machine. It's really is useful to just hit the button and have the window close by itself while I concentrate on driving.

THANKS MATE, BUT AS YOU SAY WITH TICKET MACHINES, I STILL HAVE A PROBLEM WITH THOSE , AS I CAN'T REACH OVER FAR ENOUGH WITH MY LEFT HAND, SO I HAVE TO GET OUT, EVEN AT THE DARTFORD TUNNEL. MUCH TO OTHER PEOPLES ANNOYANCE, AS THEY ARE WAITING TO GET THROUGH. STILL I CAN'T HAVE EVERYTHING

Ever consider left hand drive (no pun intended)?
I guess it wouldn't help except where they have machines on both sides for continental drivers.
You could start a capaign to drive on the right! I don't think you'd get Marks vote though.

Does the Transit window have one touch operation? It's quite I while since I drove our old works MK5 with leccy windows.

I DID CONSIDER GETTING A LEFT HAND DRIVE A FEW YEARS AGO, WE WERE GOING TO BUY AN ECONOLINE BUT A BIG V8 AND THE PRICE OF PETROL PUT US OFF , ALSO I WOULD STILL HAVE THE PROBLEM WITH TICKET MACHINES . THE SWITCH FOR MY ELECTRIC WINDOW IS FITTED IN THE DASH, SO I CAN REACH IT FROM THE STEERING WHEEL.ALSO I HAVE THE LIGHTS AND WIPERS SWITCHES ON THE DASH , I SWITCH THE LIGHTS ON AND OFF WITH MY KNEE, AND THE WIPERS I CAN REACH WITH OUT TAKING MY HAND OFF THE WHEEL
