Just a basic reply to some questions, Covering is vinyl. why: its quick and easy to clean and no smell, the ceiling was a b***h, here 2 sections of 4mm ply was used and bracing along it to keep it all straight, mid section covering was vinyl covered then glued on using mmmm silicone as it works well, also easy to remove if required but keeping it up while it cures was fun, no I didnt stand there all night.
12volt 20watt downlighters x6 installed and really work well, switched using a 4 way house light switch.
Fun bit was getting the 1 front near side light to come on when door opened, a relay and diode was used with great results, diode stops current going to far side light as switch controls them in pairs
The fridge is a must have, been out all day all over the place is tiresome and been able to grab a drink or make a proper cold meat roll is great, guess KFC and other junk food spots dont like me, if you work out what mr average spends in a year on junk food then the fridge with inverter pays for itself 7 times over, interesting eh and thats in one year
tool box in the back is a bonus to work from, it oddly isnt big enough as I do truck repairs aswell, if you know diesels then you never have enough tools.
more pics to follow very soon but this time I'll take during day light to show better details
Best bit so far about it all is the awesome sound, seriously worth every ounce of time I put into getting it right, thanks to my brother inlaw I got it all at cost and some even lower.
Front doors has Sony explod splits, Rear: pair of 10 inch Kenwood 3way mounted in rear partition, piar of 6 inch Kenwood splits mounted in storeage space (Top of cabin) a 12inch Kicker sub mounted next to fridge, this took mant a dark night to get right as its all intergrated, then to power it all 3 Kenwood amps were installed, 1 for the front door speakers, another for rear section then a dedicted sub amp to drive the Kicker but Im not finished as Im in the process of setting up a true 5.1 surround sound for when I watch movies via my 10 disc Sony DVD shuttle
So yes van has 2 head units, rear head unit controls a relay pack I made to switch over the sound inputs from both head units to the amps and took around 2 weeks to perfect, driving this lot in the rear is a 110 amp deep cycle battery, more than enough to keep fridge with sound going, tried it for 6 hours and no problems but adding another cos of my trips to the coast, saying that I intend doing a 240 volt switch over so as not to load the batteries all the time
Well that was basic.... not, be back soon with more pics and details like why did I use speaker cloth between vinyl and plywood and how I went about it, turned out spiffing to hide marks, more later
