is it possible to glue a fan blade on the heater together again useing plastic araldite. would the spining cause it to break away. regards dave

Use an electirc solder to melt the plastic , and try to weld it again! and if you can put a reinforcing wire across the crack in U shape. Thats what solved my problem for a broken plastic piece which holds the high tension wire on a Britsh seagul outboard motor.(they are obsolete) :wink:
Best soliution is to fit another propeler.

Although maybe not the answer in this case I've found that the clear silicone sealer (I use the draper one) is one of the only things that will stick to the softer plastics.You can also use a bit of plasic like one of those plastic ties as a sort of welding filler using a soldering iron.

thanks for the ideas. i've melted the plastic on the fan blades and stuck them togerther and used the wire ties as a joining seal to stick them together, it seems to hold . i can lift the motor up using the broken blade and it feels as strong as all the other blades. i'll run it tommorrow for a long period and if it has no problem fit it back in tommorrow. thanks again :lol:

just a update the fan is working perfectly best i've ever had it in the past eight years! i am still looking for a 4.63 diff if anyone has one or knows where i can get one. regards dave :lol:
