U can just see the rust coming thru on the inside now, i give it a few weeks and the rain will get in :oops:

should be a window out, cut out rusted section, make up a plate to weld back in, grind flush and skim with little filler. but you can always grind it back and lob some gob in there, not very pretty solution but you should be able to make a good job of it if you dont want the hassle (if you are doing it yourself) or the expence of someone doing it for you. fiestas and escorts suffered at the lower corners of the windscreen just the same. if you fill it it will keep coming through though. it is not a permanant fix. hope this helps

Thnks for the input......

Out of all the rust i know off, this is the bit that converns me the most. Means the van will have to stay outta the wet and off the road while the job is being done, bit of a pain really seein as spring/ summer is kicking in

I think I would be tempted to get that done properly, if it continues to get worse it will allow moisture down the side pillar, and when that rots it will be game over :(

Image .Know what you mean,had a similar problem.Only answer is to take the screen out and do the job properly.I ended up with a much bigger job to do,make getting the screen out a doddle though,(just braked hard).

Im hoping to do it within the next couple weeks if i can, think me and the old man will be able to do it quite eazyily once the screens out and have fabricated a new bit of metal

in the past ive found it easyer to find a good section at the brakers and with a carefull bit of hacksaw work cut the required bit out , its then just a matter of cuting the bad out and letting a section in ,grind the tops off the weld and finish off with a good file.

Bodged it with sum seam sealer for now, gonna wait till the warmer weather and cut it all out
