Just my 2p........Firstly ..brilliant van mate ! I remember seeing that when it was first done ..awesome ! Didnt it have slatted rear side windows or summat originally? ....I dont know how the rear susp is done ,but ,when I did mine(toyota hi- ace) I added the rear axle with the springs just inboard of the front axles springs . the rear wheels were about 4 ins apart .I experimented a lot with setups ,and found that by using lowering blocks on the rear axle ,it allowed enuf traction on the front one . I had 4 wheel h/brake and still had the diff in the rear axle ,with brakes to all six wheels using a bias valve to prevent lock up of the rears when I stood on the brakes hard !MOT 'D it a few times no probs! Used it as a daily driver all over the country ,never had probs with rearend traction ,but had to make sure that dodgy(tractionless) ground was rolled over quickly and the wheels landed on the hard ground , due to the weight of the aforementioned axle .Corners were no prob ,as one axle stepped out and back as the springs flex ...Interesting to watch in the side mirrors that !! This van was good for well over 100mph (private test track !) and drove arrow straight !Had rover v8 mid mounted .Sorry to ramble ..hope this helps !
