I bought a pair with windows and then when I scrapped the van sold them for approximately what I paid for them, a week after I bought them a solid pair came up on ebay and went for about £10 more than I had paid for mine, so it is simply being online looking at the right time. The commercial breakers like united vans sell them but they want good money for them, not hugely more than ebay can be but a little more. but then ebay is crazy one week you have to pay loads another week next to nothing. doors will deffinately rise in price once the nicer weather arrives as people are more willing to do the swap over but this will mean that the ebay prices will rise. Same as buying a convertable...best time is in the winter
Your painting bill I wouldn't like to say how much it would greatly depend on if you want a "blow over" or a "proper job" either way neither will be especially cheap since it is a lot of metal to cover...plus if you go for a "proper job" who knows what they will find when they start to rub it down. I used to have a contact who would do a bare metal respray for around the £500 mark but this was some time ago and even at the time I thought this was too cheap for the work it entailed.
