Hi all
Can sum one tell me whitch way the front calipers are fitted on a Mk1 1975 SWB V4 autobox, is it to the front or is it to the back (i may have fitted it wrong!!!) and dose the lug on the axle in the middle go to the front or to the rear?. THANKS

I just had to go outside and grovel under mine to have a look.Daft really as I fitted the axle and calipers myself, but its like when someone asks "are you sure you locked the door" and even though you're convinced you did,you can't sit still untill you've checked.

When you think about it,in effect one of the units runs in reverse to the one on the other side.So assuming that no suspension angles are altered in doing so does it matter if they are fitted back to front?
I know what you mean mark,my poor old van used to try and do a so,ersault first thing in the mornings when I braked, other than that as I've said on here before I don't think drums are quite as bad as people seem to think. (If you put then on the wrong way round thogh, they WOULD be pretty dire)
