i dont see why the zetec wont bolt to a pinto adapter, the only problems i can see are the flywheel and starter. i was considering this and the way i was thinking was to redrilla transit pinto flywheel to fit the zetec crank and if it needed a spacer (not sure on that bit) then space it back to fit the starter or if it was too far, ie the zetec crank is longer then mabe pack the starter back :?
i never got any further than thinking about it but by going that route you can use all standard transit stuff :D

and then you have the relocation of the thermostat water rail bit but thats standard escort stuff been done a million times before :D

Got 2 1.8s in the shed, one will go into a moggy minor and I will flog the other on.

I believe most 1.8 and 2.0 bits are the same, would you like me to take some measurements of the flywheel at the weekend?
