jesus Is there any weld there? or are they purely popped on? Even if ye've never welded before ye can make a better job than that!! Ye'll get plenty of info on the mig welding forum. Also some good mig stuff on youtube. Just mind an disconect the battery. Some folk say they don't bother but i always do. Better safe than sorry eh? Good luck. i'd be interested to see how ye get on coz i may do the same to mine soon.

Seems like these days with less skilled labour about the place that this will be the future. What hope is there when the culture is leaning towards them being happy to take your money then doing a job to the standard of a 2 year old.

new parts are here but no inner panels so if there bad ill be patching them up

forgot to update this never took many pics but ill upload them tomorow
BUT..............
welding finaly finished today but found more stuff needing done
front wings replaced no problems passenger wing was a good fit and finish drivers wing
was shot to buggery with rust but both inner arches were fine go figure thought they woulda been knackerd was cutting them off with one eye shut expecting the worse

the rear wings are sorted but the welding is rudamentary to say the least but there on and the grinder will tidy them up before the rears skimmed and primed weather has been pure shite
and its f*** me up from start to finish but he ho its done dont know how guys like geoff, muttly and Dachre can do it big respect to them and the other boys

well another update on the sh*t box camper
my old man was complaining bout the van not being to ergonomic for him
so last week we stripped the van interior out and started on getting it better suited for him
or me when its getting used, so ripped all the sh*t cladding off the walls yesterday with the thought of fitting new pvc T&G instead, once it was stripped i got to the wireing and TBH im well and utterly disgusted with it the wire that was used for the main light loop was telephone wire the type that runs from the back of the phone into the wall sockets was burnt thru in places were it was obviously overheating coulda F***ng killed my dad or me if we had been sleeping and left the 2nd battery hooked up so started swapping that over for summit a bit more electrical then thought i had wired everything else up and switched the battery on and nuthin after chaseing wires for another 2 hours finaly discovered what the problem was..................... the wires were crossed over + was the neg, neg was the +, the person who decided to do the wireing in that van is a mug and a fanny so angry when i saw it but instead of useing electrical blocks to join wires the person had used a phone style wireing block,
never got any pics of the shambles as i was pushed for time.

why do people who have no idea even bother attempting todo anything that can endanger peoples lifes like that

As a sparky and a heating engineer I probably ask myself that question at least 5 times a day, it really pisses me off
