hi i have a 120 swb 1999 transit and the long bolt on the power steering pump works loose any ideas how to keep the bloody thing in it is up as tight as it will go but works loose.richie

what about a bit of threadlock :?: will that work :?:

Maybe try some thread lock on the threads.

thread lock from halfords, comes in a small red tube. or use a nylock nut (the ones with a plastic around the top of them). Could also use a (i forget the proper name) star washer.

That was a common problem

You can't add another nut to the end of it because of it's proximity to the pump pulley, but a liquid thread locking compound will sort it.

yeh thanks guys will get thread lock cant put a nylon nut on as the nut is part of the pump assembly and not alot of thread left.
