has scrap not back up now, i got £2500/ton for copper last week, or is it just copper thats gone up

Yeah I heard that, about a month ago it was back at £70 a tonne for mixed steel, after doggging out at £15 or so?
I'II ring em up today see what the price is....now where can I find a tonne of copper....

If you are doing it to sell it just put in the proper ford engine, do it up as it should be then sell it and build what you really want with the profit

problem with crewcabs as recoverys is the extra weight comes off the gross so you'll be overloaded most of the time

what do you plan to do keep it or sell it on

if i turned it too a t430 woul it be able to carry around 2200kg

is that too low for the recoverys

might aswell got for a T460 but how easy a job is it to get it replated

so is that about right 2100kg for the truck then could carry 2500kg, is this any good
with the crew cab part what will it sacrifice 150-200kg

i looked into this just recently whilst looking for a jumbo drw which are mostly 430s! basically you have to get a form from your loca vosa centre fill in the details they will then contact ford for a list of what needs doing! ford charge for this service! you will then need to get any parts and any work required done then its back to vosa for your inspection/test all being well you will get a new vosa issued plate like a lorry one that will need fitting in the passenger door area! now this was for a 430 van! so might differ for a minibus! the fees were around £27 for initial form (cant remember form number ) £100 for the vehicle report and info from ford £? parts required (not always neccessary) £? any work required (again not always neccessary) and about £98 for vosa inspection! also whilst all this paper chase is going on the vehicle isnt technically supposed to be used unless from test/garage etc etc then after all that and vosa have finished youve got to inform dvla about your re classifaction detail/tax etc etc these people offer a service to do the paper side of things and get any parts req! very helpful too http://www.svtech.co.uk

2500kg payload is enough theres only a few cars that would be too heavy big 4x4s mabe

remember guys that was for downrating!!!! uprating i believe is more of a ballache and a more indepth vosa inspection on brakes and running gear etc etc as you want to carry more than designed! i think there is a better market keeping this van 3.5t!! as any vehicles over that is o licence time and then you might aswell just buy 7.5t! got any pics?

how do i check the ratio on my diff, its not original cos its just single wheel not double.

also has anyone seen or used a FWD tipper thinking of putting a 100ps in.

surely if lutons are fwd it should be fine

has it got a tag on it if it has ratio should be stamped on it

right i'll have a look it will be for sale when i find a twin wheel axle, is there anything i should look for apart from the diff, is there too types of axles you get or something

yeah 4.63 and 5.14 is it a mk6 one

i suppose you cant get a DRW FWD

i suppose i'll have to have it RWD cos most peoiple would be looking for RWD with a tipper.

a couple on Ebay say that the 350 crew cabs only have 500kg capacity
they cant possibly weight 3tonne empty can they

Allready stripped the battered doors and wings off, i'm striiping it right down so i can do a proper job of waxoiling and anything else that would be benificial.
it was painted 2 years ago.
