Cheers guys, still not sure about them wheels, been looking for something else but cannot find what I want :!: The bodywork needs tidying next as the tin worm is busy at work.

Guy88 wrote:how have they done the top hose on the rad :?:

They have used my old EFI radiator and piped it using stainless and silicon pipe :!: as soon as I get chance I will change it for a DOHC rad as it looks a little like spaghetti junction around the back. Works well though just not as tidy as it could be.

Seeing as its just flown through the MOT I thought an update was due. Had some shiny bits that I fitted and updated the cooling system and then the cam chain tensioner decided to start pi$$ing oil out so out came the spanners and camera

Still untidy though

Fitted twin Kenlowes one on a fixed thermostat the other variable. Did you know there is enough space under the headlamps for oil coolers

Might do Luke, I need an auto electrician bad at the minute due to an accident with my gearbox loom and a very hot exhaust  Patched it up but have a few issues.

Forgot I bought these wheels for £225 and four Michelin Agilis 225/65/16 brand new tyres for £160 so the RS wheels may have to go

Got them from a very nice guy on e-bay they had been removed from a fleet van before it went on the road to have the standard size tyres the owners use fitted :o And the price included delivery to the door :D

How did you get round the exhaust problems that everyone seems to have. We are in the throes of putting a 2.9i 12v in a SWB camper and are using an ambulance engine/box but the manifolds foul on the steering rack. Any idea whether 2.9 Granada manifolds clear or is it down the custom made route?

My manifolds are standard but all the rest from the downpipes back was custom made in 3" stainless. Not sure if you will have the same problem with the 12v but if you do a stainless system although expensive is well worth it and guaranteed for life.

Re: MK4 COSWORTH MAY BE FOR SALE

Postby andykay » Wed Aug 12, 2009 8:17 pm

Due to me looking at having a 12 month spell in hospital the mk4 may have to go to someone who can finish her off :( The body work was due to be done shortly and as the body shop cannot keep it for 12 months it will be left outside and as I cannot get it under cover for the winter it will only make it worse, as it is both front and rear wings and around the rear lights where some prat screwed in light guards also around the windows needs sorting. There are a few little jobs that want doing but nothing major just had a newish gearbox and torque converter put on which has left an oil leak on the dipstick tube and some tidying up wiring wise is required.
I will try and get some pics but viewing would be the best way to see this.
Anyone interested drop me a PM it may take a while for me to answer but I will.

Well I am home but still confined to bed until March :( Still not sure if I will keep this as while confined to bed in hospital I came across this, just need to measure up to see how big a hammer is needed to make it fit 8)
