DIY Snow Chain/Rop for the mud??

Hi,

I remember reading some time ago about someone who used rope around their tyres as a replacement for snow chains. Has anyone here done this? and How do you tie the rope round.

Thing is i'm going to some music festivals this year and with all the mud its likely i'll need more grip on my tyres.

Any ideas?

Not done it myself, bought a set of snow chains for my old van, they were about £20-£25

where did you get chains that cheap?! they all seem to be above £100 for transits!

On ebay, they aren't the proper commercial rated ones, just buy some for your tyre size
