Wow Mike that jumbo is something man

Thats like my dream man lol. The reason i am getting a jumbo is so down the line i can get me self 2 x 18" solo x kickers but thats down the line. Thing is need the van to be fully usable for work is well.

But Matt if you could bring your DB meter down that will be great mate! :)

Lets hope we get a few vans there dropping some b line!

To do an spl test, normally the microphone on the test meter is put at drivers head position on a tripod,
and the hifi is controlled from outside the motor, to protect ears.

The meter could be stuffed under a headrest maybe, with screen facing sideways
so we can see it through the side window.

People with a head unit remote will be ok, and people with an ipod/mp3 on a lead will,
but i guess others will have to choose wether or not they're prepared to sit in their van to turn it up full.
I do most days anyway  but i will be adjusting my gain a bit for this

Hi, Just to clear a few things up. ANYONE can enter their van for the sound off. You don't have to have a ear bleeding ice system!

Hopefully If all goes well everyone will come next year with a ear bleeding set up 8)

Also as rover mentioned its FREE :!: If you manage to win there is a trophy to be won!!

I will be there all day Saturday giving out any sort of advise on ICE and also doing tune ups for people who require them.

If you do have a ear bleeding system and you dont have a remote may be a good idea to bring ear defenders.

This will also be a good way to inspire other members there with ideas!!

So come on people lets start adding names to the list who will want to have their van on display at the ICE tent! The sound off can be discussed on Sunday.

I can't commit to it yet so no promises. Mine wouldn't win any SPL comps but I'd like to think it'd be the best sounding system there. If not I'll be continuing the upgrades :)

I've got 160watts powering one sub, and I'm in
As for sound quaility, I've got nothing from 80-200hz  ,
no staging, no imaging ... but I'll take you on clarity
It's just a bit of fun.

I'm gonna try to pop down to Clive Pluckrose's shop this coming week,
to see if he'd like to make an appearence, with some equipment 8)
Doubt it, but one can only try :!:
