speaking to flavel is a good idea they may still keep kits, but dont try it on lpg cos it wont burn cleanly or safely till its converted

I've stuck it on Edinburgh Gumtree for £80.

If I don't get any takers - then it's going back on ebay :(

OK - I've just sent an email to 'Gas Appliance Spares' in Preston, asking if they have or know of a conversion kit for this Flavel.

They seemed to have a pretty comprehensive online catalogue :)

I'll see what their reply is :?

Cheers for the offer - but I've just received a 4 word email reply from the spares shops that said ' sorry - parts not available' :?

Either that means they don't have the conversion kit or Flavel don't do one for this cooker. Either way way I'm stucking with an £80 cooker nobody wants

Flavels are in Leamington Spa Ive bought cooker parts of them a few times and they are very helpful they also sold many jets and parts from a unit in Stratford on Avon.

Nice one - cheers for this :D

OK - I'm going to give it one last go.

My mate is just finding out Flavel's phone number for me and then I'll give them a ring.

Fingers crossed

dont kow if this helps Russel, but looking at this page it seems your cooker was fitted to boats, and i cant see boats using natural gas unless they have a very long gas pipe :)

Just gave them a phone.

Flavel say NO :(

I am absolutely gutted - to convert it would cost £300 and require me to basically replace every part within the metal cooker body

Sometimes my stupidity even amazes myself

See - It really does look like a campervan cooker

Yes, I've had no response from Gumtree - so ebay it is then

I'll look into the caravan breakers idea - there must be some up here in Scotland :?:

as a last resort would try an find a friendly local gas fitter and ask them as well... you never know... Flavel would be like most companies and try to get as much money as possible out of you by telling you you MUST HAVE oem parts, when in reality something a lot cheaper will do the job.... just look at cars for an example......
