MAX WEIGHT

Postby john leeman » Wed May 03, 2006 12:35 pm

GO TO WEIGH BRIDGE AND WEIGH YOUR VEHICLE EMPTY OF LOAD, BUT WITH FUEL & YOU IN IT. IT WILL COME OUT WITH THE READING IN KELO'S DEDUCT THAT FROM 3,500 KGS AND YOU HAVE PAYLOAD. I WOULD NOT GO ABOUE THAT AS THE PENALTYS FOR OVERLOAD ARE SAVERE, IF YOU CAUSED AN ACCIDENT WITH A VEHICLE OVERLOADED YOUR INSURANCE COMPANY COULD REFUSE TO PAY OUT. IF YOU TOW A TRAILOR WITH THIS VEHICLE, YOU NEED A TACHOGRAPH FITTED AND AN "O" LICENCE TO BE WITHIN THE LAW, THEN YOU CAN CARRY MORE CHECK YOUR TRAIN or GROSS MASS WEIGHT. IN SHORT DON'T GO OVER WEIGHT YOU'L BUST IT.
35 years of driving, repairing, sleeping in transit's lovin every minute.
