Isn't that called 'segregation'?

Please clarify Luke;

Best ICE installed van?
or
Best installation?

best van with ICE install :D

Luke wrote:All the show and shine vans (free to enter ALL Transits are welcome) will be entered for 2 catagorys the 1st will be the MK of the van - and there will be 3 trophys for each

MK1 - 1st 2nd 3rd
MK2 - 1st 2nd 3rd
MK3 - 1st 2nd 3rd
MK4/5 - 1st 2nd 3rd
MK6 - 1st 2nd 3rd
MK7 - 1st 2nd 3rd

then the owner will get a choice of which other catagory to enter into, there will be 3 trophys for each catagory and the cataorys will be

Working Transit - 1st 2nd 3rd
Standard Transit - 1st 2nd 3rd
Modified Transit - 1st 2nd 3rd
Transit Camper - 1st 2nd 3rd
ICE install - 1st 2nd 3rd

you'll only be allowed to enter your van as 1 of the second lot of catagorys, as this makes it fairer ie 1 van wont end up with 7 trophys. So if you have a MK3 modified, working Transit, it will be entered in the MK3 catagory but you will have to choose to either enter it as a modified or a working transit :D

there will also be a trophy for the sound off winner if Gurj can get enough ICE'd vans there!

then there will be the ultimate coverted Best of show trophy which every van will be up for but only one trophy 8)

...................now please no comments moaning you would pick different catagorys, i've tried to get a good balance, i know some will be contested more than others but untill we have run the show for a year we dont know what balance we'll get :)
there is plenty of scope to increase the catagorys in years to come eg. 4x4 countys, sportvans, pickups, tourneo's ect ect but as this is the 1st year we'll have to suck it and see :D

so basically any van that has an ICE install can be entered in the ICE catagory - no rules to say whats classed as an ICE install but obviously if all you have is a pair of speakers and a cheepy radio your unlikely to win any prizes

so the mattblackminibus will have a choice it'll be entered as a mk5 and be up for 1 of 3 trophys (1st mk5, 2nd mk5, 3rd mk5) but you could also enter it as either a modified van or a working van or an ICE van :D but it can only enter for the mk and 1 other catagory not all 3 catagorys - you have to choose which - bit like a game of top trumps

hope that clears it up - and on the day there will be plenty who understand who can explain .............. i hope

Hello people. Just thought i would post up the schedule for Saturday and Sunday

Also any advise needed on how to wire up, what speakers, subs, box size, port size any sort of advise on these topics or anything related me and my mate will be more then happy to help out with.

If their are certain jobs that you want doing i.e changing speakers, subs, adding ports please bring any materials which will be required.

Sunday
By the looks of things we should be having a sound off on Sunday a DB meter has been arranged for by ''MattBlackMinibus''.

If anyone else would like to see or have anything else done please post up.

Hi mate, there are a couple of things which will need 2 be figured out on the day. I was going for a SPL test which will mean we will use 1 Bass test CD all round. Position of mic people have agreed to take an average read of 3 positions 1 at head rest, 1 out side van at front 5 meters away then same again at back.

DB meter I believe its an audio SPL db mete I have spoke to MattBlackMinibus about this but will need to confirm once again. I have only ever been to 2 sound of competitions and entered my van once. So if you have any suggestions please do let us know.

As stated before this event is for everyone who has a passion for their Transit and who wants a good day out!! :)

We wish :!: Hand-held budget dB meter mate
BrianCarSounds haven't bothered to get back in touch with me, so I guess they won't be coming :(

Gurj - What track will we be using? cos I'll need to get it on me ipod in advance,
or bring the laptop and load it on the day.
