Thanks Luke and Al, it won't move...

My next question is - what engine can go in? Obviously banana engine, do I have any other options to look at too?

was definalty in neutral :?:

but any Di will fit :) i'm not sure of the differences but you might be able to fit the banana manifold and bits onto a normal Di - but to get you going again any Di will bolt in and run OK they are all the same basic engine - just avoid a turbo one (for an easy life) but they will be premium price anyway :)

Definitely in neutral. :(

Why do the engine prices vary so much? What should I be aware of when getting the engine? Now I have to point out that the budget I had set aside for Lola is spent already, thanks to all unforeseen issues, therefore I'm looking for the cheapest options with easy upgrade or repair in the near future. What is the difference between this engine and this one. I don't mean the obvious "accessories". Would it be advisable to go for plain engine or do I need to get the full set? Also - what could I possibly re-use from my existing engine apart from manifold?

Or this one? Why are they so different in price? Another - this is like mine exactly only a year older.

this onehttp://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... K:MEWAX:IT is a 70ps

this onehttp://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... K:MEWAX:IT is a 76ps banana like yours

they will both fit personally i dont bother too much about the millage or the years - but i like to see an engine running before i buy it too many dishonest people out there (as you know) if you can see one running if it starts, sounds ok and doesnt smoke then it's usually ok :D

it's nice to get a full engine and ancileries if you can keep them as spares - spare starter altenator pump, injectors etc. comes in handy :D

i'd ignore this onehttp://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... WAX:IT/url you'd have to fit all your stuff onto it time the pump etc. and i think it'd be too much hassle :(

But I can say that MR BigBeefy LDV Guru's engine is guaranteed :!: :D

I still can't work out where you might be losing oil, as you poor it in, unless the sump bolt is out :?

Want an extra pair of eyes on the situation :?:

I don't understand it neither... I'll avait for MrBeefy's answer, \i just can't believe I have to exchange it. It's like a heart transplant... I know it sounds stupid, but I've grown attached to my rusty bucket... And yes - I could use an extra pair of eyes if you will be somwhere close enough, I cried mine out yesterday.
