What do the 260, 280, 350 etc mean on the transit mk7 ??

Someone told me wheelbase, but I have seen a 350 badge on a van the same size as mine (a 280 high roof) .

Just want to satisfy my curiosity.

Nate.

These numbers are relating to the weight not size :D

So for eg;
A Transit 260 when fully loaded shouldn't weigh more than 2600kg and usually less :!:
A Transit 330 when fully loaded shouldn't weigh more than 3300kg :D

Size doesn't matter :lol: :lol: :lol:

That answers that then, I had an inkling that could be the reason, but after listening to someone all knowledgeable on the subject (my younger brother ;) ), thought I ought to ask the question and get a definitive answer.

Thanks

And on alot of (but not all) Transit MK6s you'll also have the engine output as well :D for eg;
90T330 = 90PS engine and 3300kg gross :D
Tell that to your brother :shock: :lol: :lol: :lol:
