Tourneo Back Row Seats / Anchor Points

Postby Shaun B » Thu Nov 19, 2009 12:10 pm

Right.......

MY Tourneo has been a disabled vehicle, with a hoist fitted in the rear. When I bought the bus, the rear seat had been replaced with some standard minibus seats.

I have sourced (and cleaned) a replacement original seat, but have noticed a problem when I've come to fit it.....

the rear of the seat (where it fixes to the floor of the bus) has some quick release catches, so that the whole seat can be tilted forawrd to increase luggage space.

The anchor points for these catches are missing from the recess in the floow, I preseme that they would be a very simple "U" bar type fitment.

Does anyone have a pair of these or know what they are called, my local ford dealer don't (surprisingly) have a clue what I'm on about!!

I could get a pair fabricated, but would rather have the original bits.

Thanks in advance.

The anchor points i am talking about are the ones as seen in the back of gasretro's very nice tourneo.

The two big metal things on the floor. If anyone know the proper name for these or has a part number, that would be great.

I have looked at the ones in my Mk 7 Touneo. The label says STRIKER ASSY W/O Cones YC15 K62452AD EB01 1. There are several variations on them with cones or bushes on the pins to centre up the seats. I have given you the number for the plain one. (W/O cones = Without Cones ?) They are bolted in with very large Torx Bolts.
Hope this helps, Timbo.

Cheers guys,

Yes mine is a MK5.

I'm one step closer, at least I now know what the actual bit "might be" called (Striker Assembley??)

It at least means there will be a delay between me walking into the parts department before they start looking at me like I'm some sort of muppett!!

Thanks Very much for all your help on this one.

I bought the striker from ebay. looks like he's only got the one through.....

Once I had the Finis no. I contacted my local dealer and they wanted £51.00 +vat just for the actual bar part of the three piece set.

Captain Hook,

How can you tell that's not a tourneo, just buy looking at it. It looks just like mine, but a different colour and mine say's tourneo on the V5.

What makes it stand out as not being a Tourneo?
