The DMF story has been difficult to follow, partly because Ford did not update their specification leaflets (i.e. the addenda to the glossy sales brochures) as the vehicles changed. The situation seems better now, if you keep checking for the latest eBrochure on the Ford website.

In the April 2008 specification leaflet, we have:

85PS = SMF, 110PS = SMF, Duratec = SMF, all others DMF

In the June 2009 specification leaflet, we have:

All DMF, except the Duratec, of course.

The 110PS 5-speed SMF became the 115PS 6-speed DMF in early 2009 as far as I know. While drawing up the spec for my new van, I had to work with out-of-date literature.
