Electrical faults in P reg 190

the cold start device is internal within the pump, and all it does is advance the timing.

The bit with the arrow controls the mid range fuelling.

Have you tried cracking off the injectors to make sure diesel is coming out? The other thing is that it could be pulling in air somewhere (possily around the diesel filter) making it a nightmare to start

The rear lights and dash lights thing happened on mine and eventually turned out to be the connector on the back of the light / wiper stalk. One of the spades in the plug was slack and was cured by putting a small blob of solder on the switch side

That is where I am going to look next Matt...one question though would just a 2-3 second spray of easy start be enough to get the engine going properly without any lumpiness as the fuel was drawn up from the tank?

I have fixed this problem by bending the switch pins to get a better connection within the connector and all is fine now in that respect..TY for your input.

Not yet but I have a new cambelt to be fitted this week...I will fit that then post back on this thread if that turns out to be what the problem is..
