fitting a new steering rack

alright lads hope u can help me ?i want to fit a new steering rack well convert to power steering is it just a case off unbolting the steering uj-two bolts that hold it -the two track rodends and it will just come out ? are there ant problems i should be aware off ? ie getting the rack out ? thanks lads :roll:

The worst part of the job (believe it or not) is getting the 3 bolts into the engine block that hold the pump bracket as they haven't been used up until now :!: :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol:

great stuff any problems getting the rack out looks like its going to be tight ill use a tap on them threads so there free befor i go ahead thanks :lol:

you will need a longer bolt for the front of the powersteering bracket :D :D ,dont forget to unbolt the one in place first :D :D :D ,dont use bolts with thread all the way up or they soon snap of :cry: :cry: ,the bolt needs to be smooth where it goes thro casting of bracket :o :o .use a standard 1/2 extension bar and racket in star shaped hole on pump to tension belt,good luck,best wishes Billy :D :D :D :D
