Hi Karlton. Looking about on Ebay, a used steel body with Hydraulics will set you back about 250 quid and then a cost for fitting.

Another thing to note, although not 100 percent sure on this, the majority of pick-ups/dropsides are single rear wheel, so you may have to compromise on your weight.

Cheers Tas

Pretty straight forward if its a LWB MK4/5 with full depth top hat and bottom chassis rails. The axle is rated, not so much the tyres, so if its a single wheel just get some high load rated tyres on it and it'll be alright, assuming its six stud.

Power for the ram pump comes off the battery and the negetive is earthed to the body. You can mount the control in the cab or on the body. All very simple but power on the tipper body must make a good earth with the transit to work (Ie you'll need to bolt the bolts up!). The least you'll need is an old savageable ladder frame, pump, ram and reservoir.
Better to get a 3 stage+ ram than a single stage with a scissor action. As said expect to pay £150 (lucky) to £350 Fleabay! + some new bolts. And tell your insurance just so they don't have a reason to reject any possible future claim.
My Mk5 was biodegradable and disintegrated with time.
