Mk6 or Mk7 ?

Postby topdogs » Mon Jun 19, 2006 7:55 pm

The Mk7 Tourneo I am told won't be out until Sept is that true? as so far I have managed to get zero info on it.
There are some cracking deals on the Mk6 about.

Question :

Do you think its better getting the last of the old model, where hopefully the production problems and faults have been sorted ( Is this the case ?)

Or get the first of the new model with teething troubles ?
What do you guys in the know think?

Also if you know of any really good deals pls let us know

Mike

I think that the MK6 and MK7 are very closely linked apart from the obvious like the gearchange :D So I would imagine that the main teething problems have already been ironed out :!: (Hopefully   )
If it's for business then try go for the later one :D you'll love the facia, still not sure of that front :?

Yes I know what you mean about the looks if I was going for a Mk6 - I thought a black GLX so that I could fit a nice chrome A Bar! Also it would look nice with Chrome type lettering.
Unfortunately I cant get any info and prices on the MK7.
Do you know if there is much difference in economy?

i have a frend of ,mine who has just bourt a mk6 glx and got a great deal on it! :)
the mk7 will be loads of money ,they are nice and i sat in one today(van not bus) but i am not convinced about the gearstic allthough you would get used to it but i still prefer the gearstic were it should be, i bourt a mk6 a few weeks ago and i like it , mine is a 125ps the same as the turneo but fuel consumption isnt that good! :?
my frends bus is black and does look great!
to have the new style front its gona cost alot more money! also the engine will be difrent 2.2tdci 130ps so this might have teething problems!
also i know another guy he is tradeing in his 03 for a new mk6 so deals are to be had!
i saved 3k plus vat off of list price! :)

  rear discs  never knew that :D
You only need two tools in life: WD-40 and Duct Tape. If it doesn't move and it should, use WD-40. If it moves and shouldn't, use the duct tape.

Absolutely beautiful :!: 8) 8) 8)
Use it in the winter too :D
Demists the windows double quick especially after you've sat in your van scoffing fish and chips :!: :D
On a MK5 I believe it was about £1100 + vat (including the compulsary tinted window option  )

There's always a minus  a bit more fuel and you must run it for at least half an hour every month to keep the system in good shape
To me, worth every penny :!: :D

nah not really posters 250litres of paste three ladders although there ramsays  few tools cones harnesses bout it really usual stuff , had a dodgy diff on my last van and just thought i dont really need r/w/d plus f/w/d is lower for my on and off with the ladders ! my job is basically multi drop but putting posters up so ladders on and off all day :? must admit tho i do some other work and they have all new r/w/d t350s much sturdier feel to them more planted but not as nimble :D
