You say funny first post Fred but now that we are getting more and more popular that as people search for things like Jaguar Transit, we come very near the top if not top!

So if he was looking on the net for info on it then he would find this page first!

Hello All,

Nice forum :D

Actually I’m after a new van (see other thread) and wanted some extra info. For the record I’ve always wanted a Tranny, but have been cursed with a Fiat Ducato and a Merc 307 so far. My old man just got shot of our MK2 CI Camper which had a 3.5 Rover V8 with trick twin carbs, cams and side exit straight through exhausts (He’s 76 – nutter).
There we are then.

You only need two tools in life: WD-40 and Duct Tape. If it doesn't move and it should, use WD-40. If it moves and shouldn't, use the duct tape.

funny but frankensprinter almost got a V12 in , only 2, 9"X6"X3" corners to weld in to clear the top of the engine on fire wall , one in tool box /footwell bit and one where the clutch pedal is so nice easy job

everything would have been good except the exhaust would have been the front side of engine mounts so would have been a pain for clearance

oh and the £1 it would cost me to drive it the half mile each way to the petrol station when cold , then engines are thirsty when cold

Yes, the little Jags get a Mondeo engine, which if it is diesel is in fact a Transit engine :) :)
