Just got the red fail sheet back and apart from the usual welding list it says that the nearside front position lamp not working when ign is off. It works fine when ign is on though??.......any ideas? Also got an advisory on excessive play in front propshaft carrier rubber....?? Anyway of out to weld in the rain.........

Does your lights on buzzer work? Try Fuse 20. If this is blown the headlights will work normally, but no passenger side light with ignition off.

Sorry, just tried that on my van. Rear light wouldn't work either :( Perhaps just the bulb as only the side lights should be able to be switched on with ignition off :?:

Neither of the headlights will work with the ignition off :?
When you turn on the ignition, the headlights will come on dimmed, in the sidelight switch position, and bright in the headlight position.
You either have a blown sidelight bulb, the little bulb, or a faulty holder or wire

Yup, thats correct, but when you turn on the ignition, the headlights will come on dimmed, so if you have a faulty sidelight, you won't see it when the ign is on

True, but MurryXmas says he has checked the bulb. Maybe he should check it again with a new bulb. :)

It can't really be anything else but the bulb, or holder, or the wiring to it. Anything else would have another light not working as well :?

Yeah both side lights work with the ign on. :?
Minor Matt yeah I had considered the parking light feature idea as well. I had a vw polo that if you parked with the indicator on the drivers head light stayed on even with everything else turned off.

I'm stumped! there's always something on the red sheet that gets ye!!
