Spotted this apparently idle, outside a small factory unit near me in Sunbury.
Never noticed it before despite it staying less than 2 miles from home.

Beats me why these Mini artics never caught on over here. Go into europe and you see under 7.5 tn artic set ups everywhere. The Rental Companies have them as well. I saw a Dutch one the other day going round Parliment Square.

ME is correct, a normal licence.
I noticed the owner (Simon) parking it up yesterday tea-time so stopped & had a word.
He uses it about half a dozen times a week.
Trailer is rated at 700 kgs max.whole rig is GTW 6500 kgs, and 22 feet long. He has to have a tacho but it doesn't need to be registered ? He has spoken long & hard with VOSA to get himself legal. (No he's not ASPDS or whoever  ). I recommended this site so he may well join.
Have fun

wow 700kg for the trailer is next to nothing ?

if it's 6.5ton mtw, then that means it must weight about 5.8ton empty ?

can that be right ? if the transit on the front is 1.5 ton (guess?)

that means the trailer must weigh 4.2ton empty ?
