The blow torch will take the hardening out of them so no the blow torch wont help. They really aren't that hard to straighten.

Would that be as hard as a sh*t after a ruby murray, or a constipated sh*t?

Update: Right My knee is hurting and i have splinters in my mouth but my rods are straight(ish). The rocker assembly is back on and the none of the rods bent when tightening it down so i must have the timing setup correctly, Yay. So after a 4 mile walk (round trip) to Unipart, the parts havent arrived :-(. This is the third time this has happened to me with them, but i cant complain as the parts are so much cheaper than anywhere else.

Question... How neccesary is it to use thread lock?? And Liquid Gasket? Anyway Water Pump is on minus liquid gasket and threadlock ,and torqued up (Found the settings in the forum thanks). Cambelt is on tensioned and timing checked and checked again (manually span the engine a few times and made sure all Timing pins (drill bits) slotted in.
Can anybody furnish me with the torque settings for timing belt tensioner and rocker assembly bolts? I have searched the forum but could only find torqe settings for water pump and rocker cover. Thanks in advance!

That sounds the worst of the lot - heating them really will change the nature of the steel, surely?
