Things you no longer worry about after joining this forum

Postby thehangmen » Wed Jul 05, 2006 4:09 pm

Makes life a little more relaxing to discover that your vans little 'traits' are not so rare after all

Things that were once a puzzle or concern are now just taken as granted thanks to this forum:

a regular bit of oil consumption
a little Judder in reverse now and then
the odd whining from behind if you listen out for it
The onslaught of mileage (old age)
80mph top cruising speed is nothing to be ashamed of

Any more...?
:D

well my mrs reckons using my transit as an everyday vehicle aswell as a workhorse is impracticle, she says the van is to big, too high up, and all her mates other halves drive a "normal" car, she reckons i should buy a car, i told her not to swear at me again lol, and the transit is much more practicle than a car and more reliable.....but i dnt think she's very convinced lol

i really think if i turned up with a transit for her i'd be sleeping in it lol, i asked her to reverse mine down the drive the other day so i could get an old rusty useless bedford cf pickup out of my sight, and she nearly took the gatepost out, then had the cheek to blame my van for being to big, she could never drive a transit, she'd kill it

when i was married, i converted the mrs into a vanner, from then on she kept asking what else i had done to it 8) i even taught her to drive in a LWB mk2, though it was the only time ive ever been in a van with 6 tires and only 1 of them touching the road
