This was me behind the wheel of our MK1 ambulance taken errrmmm well a couple of years back :D ok in the late 70s hehe
We went all over in it on holidays even though it still had all the ambulance fittings, even down to the airhorns, bought by my dad she was still on stand by for Newcastle ambulance sevice.
Dad was told the day he went to pick it up it was at a car accident the night before and in the morning when they was to clean it out for the sale they found a mans hand in it..mmmmm think it was a lie?? lol

This was our MK1 camper, 2lt pinto fitted, sady we gave it away to someone who said they was going to restore her to a pick up but once they found out she was not tax free they scrapped her, wish they had said I would have taken her back, :(

Yeah ambys are great, just trying to dig out the pic of the MK2 I had, that was a 3000cc direct from St johns, November Bravo 661 was the call sign, given to a banger race team as I had problems with storage and it had to go fast! it didn't make it to the race track but I have no idea what became of it, back then you could pick up MK2s for pocket money. I paid £50 with LSD fitted!
