The diff out of this would transfer straight across to the mk2 twin rear wheel axle wouldn't it ?

Did that axle come with an anti-roll bar ? (if so do you still have it ?!)

Tempting, but i had my mk2 rebuilt (old school garage, had them do all the shim stuff and setting up :) ... to much likelihood of me messing it up) ... and as i havent got it up and running yet, i don't really know if i need this or not (but the little voice in the back of my heads says i wantz it !!!!)
If you get to the stage of ditching the axle, i know you wont ditch the Diff ! ... let me know and i'll think some more about it, not sure i wanna go too fast in my van anyway, 80's brakes and all lol

it did

actually, on the subject of that, can you do me a favour sometime, slow time... pics, as many as you can of the mounting area on the axle, and the kit needed to fit it to the van, if i remember correctly it's mounted on plates in the back of the shock mountings, but i can't remember if they are bolt on or welded, either way is fine... welding will trash my paint job  but i could redo it !
If i'm looking for one of these, best i know exactly what bits i need ... because the mk2 and 3's were different mountings in the chassis i think

Stupid thing is, i have a mk2 front anti-roll bar ... and those were the less common ones :?

cheers :)

been well busy lately, and will be for some time, but i need to get the enthusiasm up to unwrap the van and get on with it, it's been wrapped up outside now for a couple of years :( ... i knew when i had to move it from the workshop i'd not get much done, once i can get the doors finished off and sprayed (all of them) and the bonnet, then its a case or re-fitting everything, although i have a feeling i'll be looking for a new motor and also stripping the brakes down again :(

but re-fitting is much more fun :) and things start looking finished then... it'll also mean i'm not tripping over transit parts in the house !
