Hi i cant get the instrument illumination on my transit the fuses are ok and so are the bulbs is there anything else that could have caused the problem its a 2.0 td 2002. thanks

Hi could somebody please tell me what is wrong with my dash lights not all of them work the heater switches dont light up, and neither does the speedo. My indicators work fuel light works and airbag etc etc but the speedo isnt lit up which is a bit of a twat when your driving at night. This all started when i wired a new stereo in could that be the cause??? cant see why when its a seperate loom

The stereo gets a feed for its dial lights from the side light circuit so it sounds like you have shorted it out and it has blown a fuse.

Don't know what van you have but disconnect the stereo and check the fuse for "sidelights" or "instrument illumination".

ive checked both fuses they are ok when it first happened the side lights werent working either they are now though,. The van is a mk6 2.0 fwd swb

which fuses are you checking,you need to check passenger fuse box....fuses f47,f56,f73,as they could all have a bearing on problem,f73 is most probable

Hi i dont have f73 fuse !!! my handbook shows the fuses for the passenger fuse box the fuses i should check are 208 209 201 and there all fine

Best bet is to check every fuse
